Brains and bones, billions of men
Fertilize the soil

Dirges birthed at dawn of time
Death mourns life

Cloaked in black, inching ever closer
Mouths agape
Eyes burn, molten embers tinged with scorn

They laid thy head to sleep in sulphuric stench
Echoes return twixt stone walls
Lulled to rest

The grave it weighs like chains on weary brain
Enslaved to pain

Day by Day fed to the Pit
Deceived by sweet refrain
Haunting tones envelope the globe felt yet unheard
